Synthetic fluids are a great way to go in MotorHomes. The engine makers don't approve of  extended  oil drain intervals, but we accomplish this by sampling and sending to a laboratory for analysis. We think there is less friction and longer engine life when using synthetics. We use AMSOIL products in our engines, transmissions, and differentials

Filters and centrifuges remove particles and free water. Biocides are used to control microbial activity. Neither, however eliminates fuel instability or sludge buildup.
