I have a Verizon (Air Touch). I'll be on the road a bit this summer and will post here how it works.

Sprint is one of the best companies for accessing the internet. You can get a slow 14.4 kb baud rate in most metropolitan areas of the country. However, they are presently updating the service to 56k rates while I write this. Kansas City and San Diego are two cities with the faster rates right now. In the future 1 year or so faster rates will be the norm.

Does anyone know when the fast internet phones will be available and at a good price?

I use a sprint cell phone hooked to my laptop computer and use AOL as a service provider. It works good except it is a little slow. I have e-mailed while my wife is driving the coach.
