What is the normal operating temperature of the carbuerated 454 Chev engine used in the P-30 motorhome chassis? Mine is a newly overhauled 1984 and the temps seem to run high but there is no overheating. The engine has the Banks Powerpack with headers and K&N air filter. The temp guage shows 205f to 210f cruising at 65-70mph. Is this normal?
Thanks

The temperature is typical for most gas burners unless you are using synthetic oil in the motor and the tranny. It generally lowers operating temperature a few noticable degrees.

Why pay Retail for Amsoil synthetic lubricants? For info on preferred customer program for factory direct wholesale prices e-mail george@oilhelp.com or www.oilhelp.com or call 1-800-887-6698.
