Does anyone have any comment on campground fees, particularly for overnight purposes. By that I mean staying overnight in a non-destination campground. I feel they are awfuly pricey for coming in late (after 6pm) and leaving early (7 am). Would be nice if there were places where we could stay without paying $20-25 per night. I think $10-12 is more reasonable. Well, then there is always Wally World.Comments??

If you're going in after 6 and leaving at 7 forget the park stay at a kmart or church parking lot. We would never pay if we are on the way somewhere. If we need water we'll go to a park that has a spigot and dump at a truck stop...

I'm pretty new at this but have you checked out state and national parks for overnight stays. Some have hookups, some do not but I hear they are quite reasonable.

I believe there is a booklet out there that has the lower priced camgrounds listed, and the free ones.
