Can anyone talk about the Alcan and what the condition is. I would like to take my motor home up there but I hear I should rent one and not tear up mine. ???

I am on the Canadian end of the Alaska Highway and I spoke to a Group of 20 RVers, they were just back from spending a month going up and coming back down from Alaska. They had their own units and they were from different areas in Texas they said the roads were great and also for your information, the Canadian Highways are just like yours but,less crowded, not so many lanes. Go through the Parks in Alberta and cut across at Jasper into BC to Prince George and you will absolutely be in Heaven. The Prince George BC Tourist Information Center (with a website under beautiful bc, i think) will be able to help you as well they are considered...."The Gateway to the North". Good luck and just remember like everything else in this world upgrades are going on every day, the roads are nothing like they were 20 yrs ago.
