We own a Tradewinds Pusher with an Onan diesel generator. This generator act as if it has a mind of its own. one minute it purrs like a kitten and the next minute its running wide open. When it drops back down to normal speed again, alot of times it will shut off and have to be restarted. This problem seems to occur when the A/C units are running however I can't be absolutley sure.

How many hours is on the unit? Does your electric voltage change with the RPM fluctuation? When was the last time you replaced your fuel filter?
