The note below was recently sent to MotorHomeAdvice.com by a gentleman regarding holding tank issues with National Rv coaches. Maybe some of you would be interested in the problem and solution. The reply from National RV is first followed by the problem.

I talked with George Aldama at Natl. RV in Perris,CA He stated that some of their RV Holding Tanks, when drilled out for Sink/Shower drainpipe connections, that the drilling residue was left inside the tank. He further stated that even though my RV was out of Warranty - National RV would authorize the repair.

Gray Water Holding Tank problem. Since buying this thing 15 months ago, the status gauge always seemed to indicate that this Tank had a somewhat loaded condition. However at times when the tanks were dumped (Black first then Gray) I always was able to get some water to exit the Gray Tank. Now this tank won't dump. The Gauge says 2/3 full. I tried a Plumbing Snake up through the Exit Pipe and sometimes a small stream of water will exit. The Plumbing Snake has a sharp point but never does snag any paper, rags or any other obstruction.
What could possibly be inside the Tank that would keep it from emptying? Have there been any other reports like this? It almost seems like someone left some foreign material in the Tank during construction. Both of the Sinks & the Shower have Screens / Grids in the Drains that would prevent the End-User from dropping anything down the drain. Where is this tank located? Is it right under the Bathroom Sink Console? Can it be removed from the Water Console from the outside? Help! Help! Thanks for any help you can provide.
