Picture in your mind traveling in your RV starting from Key West, going to Anchorage Alaska and back and not stopping to change your oil once. Is it possible? Yes it is if your using the right oil. In my coach I can travel a couple of years, say 40,000 to 50,000 miles before I find it necessary to replace my oil. I asked this question today at an RV seminar I presented in Tampa Florida. The people that travel long distances were not aware that this could be done and they stated that they thought it was normal to have their coach serviced somewhere on the road.

George,I think it's excellent that you are getting the word out about extended oil changes. I do the same as you with the 15w40 AMSOIL Marine oil with the bypass filter system. I don't worry about oil changes as long as I keep the primary filter changed on a reasonable schedule. I have my oil analyzed periodically at a lab so I can get a good picture of how the oil is doing as well as an on going story of my engine condition. This relieves an extreme hassle of frequent oil changes on pushers, especially for full-timers.
