Guys,
Just got wind of a fix coming out for the foam in the fuel system for your PSD. The cackle, poor fuel mileage, etc. is all due to foam in the fuel rails with no return to bleed this foam off. The foam is the result of many air leaks in the system. Another poor design. This may be why there is so much difference in fuel mileage and performance from one PSD to another. I know of a guy that is going to sell the retrofit kits for this repair. When I get more info I will pass it on.
