Does anyone have experience towing a Olds Alero? As per the owners manual you only need to remove 3 fuses, does this turn off the mileage being recorded while towing?

I tow a olds alero you have to pull 6 fuses (2 min.) and the mileage does not show.

Sterling, I don't know for sure about the mileage, but I doubt that it will, otherwise it would be to easy for people to disconnect the speedometer. Although with the advent of the digital readings, maybe they aren't recorded with the engine off.

The Alero is the same as a Chevy Malibu. The 3 fuses disable the computer and tranny and I believe the speedometer. The odometer is electronic and as long as it has no power it will not register mileage.KW
