Does anyone know why Chevy claims that you should not tow a Tracker over 50 MPH? When we bought the Tracker in 1999 we had a class C which ran most efficiently at about 50 to 55, so the restriction was no problem. Since that time we have traded for a diesel pusher which cruises at about 65 to 70. Chevy has given me no good reason for the restriction - their response is that the transmission might be damaged ... HOW? The transfer case is shifted into neutral and the transmission into park. There is no way anything in the transmission could be turning. I suspect this is just a "lawyer thing" to cover themselves if something happens at a higher speed.
