I must be lucky. I just drove 9500 miles and stayed in a goodly number of campgrounds over the past 75 days. My dump is about 6' from the rear of the coach just in front of genset and power cord, I carried two sections of sewer hose with a plastic connector and the 90 degree endpiece and had no trouble reaching any of the connections.
